The vacant positions are that of Treasurer (Management Board Officer) and Ordinary members.
The Management Board will commit to at least one year of spearheading Coventry Growth Initiatives, by supporting the group's ethos , projects, staff and volunteers in a highly professional and empowering manner. The Management Board is open to any resident of Coventry or person who can show extensive links and ties to Coventry and knowledge of the area's developments.
It is expected that the Management Board will meet on average 3 times per annum in the initial stage of the group's growth with an AGM to be held at the end of each financial year. The Management Board will aid in the development of the group's Constitution and will partnership work with relevant agencies and community groups of interest to Coventry Growth Initiatives. The Management Board will be of graduate level or will possess extensive experience in social enterprise and/ or community work.
The Treasurer must have key bid writing skills (evidence of successful bids) or be a qualified accountant and must be able to account for the expenditure and income of the group while working with the designated accountants and the Chairperson to ensure financial transparency and accountability to the group's members and other financial bodies. We will expect the candidate to comply with an enhanced CRB check, the expense of which will be met by the organisation.
Ordinary members will aid to support Board Officers, be active in Annual General Meetings and decision making processes of Coventry Growth Initiatives. We welcome all relevant applicants including under-represented groups and ethnic minority.
